March Preview Service
March saw the arrival of the first of our six preview services. We had a great team from Apostolic Pentecostal Church in St. Louis that came to help us. It was a full weekend of equipment training, distributing door hangers, and our first worship service. We had a total of forty-four people in service. Included in that number were twelve guests. Five of whom were contacts from the Olathe Chamber of Commerce.
We are very grateful to Brother Willeford, our pastor for twenty-two years in St. Louis, for allowing such a great group of students and young adults to come and help us with our first service. We are looking forward to Urshan College being with us for our next service on Easter!
March was a full month on every front. The Kansas District had two events we were privileged to attend. The Kansas Youth Convention was held in nearby Overland Park. Anthony was a part of the music team for the event. I was also able to attend the Kansas Doctrinal Conference in Wichita. We have been readily welcomed into the Kansas district for which we are thankful.
Crystal and I attended the dedication of the new building for Heart and Soul Church in Raymore, Missouri. The Wicketts and Robinsons are great friends and we are so excited to finally have an Apostolic church in Crystal’s home town of Raymore.
Every week the Olathe Chamber draws one name to do an impromptu one minute promotional video for their business. My name was drawn on the last Thursday of March. Thanks to all of our friends around the country it is the most watched Facebook video they have done. You can view the video here.
Since being proficient on three instruments was not enough, Anthony began piano lessons in March. He is taking lessons from Sister Nicole Hanney from our neighboring church in Overland Park, KS. Anthony is, has been, and will continue to be a very valuable member of our team!
Our good friends the Levine’s were in town ministering at The Life Church in March. We were glad to be able to spend some time with them and their wonderful family. We had a great time with Zion and Asher who came over between services and spent the afternoon with us.
The last weekend of March was children’s revival at The Life Church. The McGonigal’s from Doniphan, Missouri were the visiting ministers. They are some of Anna’s favorites! It was a great time of fun and growing spiritually.
We are very blessed to be a part of The Life Church family during our transition from St. Louis until we begin weekly services in Olathe. It has especially been a blessing for Anthony and Anna to be able to make new friends during this time. We are grateful that Brother Gleason honored us with the invitation to attend TLC during this time.
